Andris Eglitis

Andris Eglītis (1981, Latvia) is on of the most outstanding sandwich generation painters of Latvia. His creative work is characterised by convincing experiments with the medium of traditional art medium – painting, where he often goes beyond the conditionality of plane borders. In 2013, Andris Eglītis received Purvītis Prize for the exhibition “Winter Works”, in 2015, together with Katrīna Neiburga, he developed the Latvian Pavilion exhibition “Armpit” at the 56th international Venice Arts Biennial.
